Full Stop...

Everybody seem to have forgotten this and what has happened actually. Every story needs to be concluded as I am wrapping this up of ours. Adding some flavors so that it doesn't look that disappointing. And surprisingly, I am writing this when I am almost due for my second vacation. Time just flew past in front of us.

The much awaited vacation was finally granted and I flew with my wings ignited with the extra bonus I got from my office. It was a bonus earned from the management of the current project I have been handling. Transferred safe to my NRI account without wasting a single penny; I am now at the advantage of a wallet full of money while considering the previous doubtful me without the real money in hands. Off course, I could now say that money definitely could give you a confidence booster.

I touched down at Cochin in April 2015 were I remember my mum was awaiting me in tears. Almost 3.5 years after I saw her. The affection of her sons home coming was visible when none around was a problem for her. Reached home with the rush of making the best vacation of a life time.

Got my machine by the end of April 2015; the much awaited and longed re-built Royal Enfield. The first picture I took at the workshop with all delight to the ride back home. It was stunning to be said and the talk of the town at least at my home town. Some said it was very expensive considering the pay I made; but it was the much needed break for an NRI with the power of money. I really never cared but was swept away from the classy looks with the single seated travel I made each time.

The ride was being cooked up ready for serving at our club " Royal Thumpers" but without Rahul. I had called him to join but he could not as being in a tight schedule at his office. Sometimes everything just do not happen in the best sync. The excitement of the trip I had cannot be recreated by sitting at the blog after almost  two years(current day being Jan 1st 2017). So I decide to copy what I had posted on my FB wall after I reached back home after the extraordinary moments I had during the travel.

Trip of Valparai with Royal Thumpers:
Fun it is when you thump with your Royal Enfield. What if you had a 20 of them together on the way? That could be something which one could describe our journey. Added with 80% of the journey through the forest ranges of Kerela and Tamil Nadu nature did give the thump back reflecting every beat of the Royal Enfield. What else could pump your veins with adrenaline? A small theme that came into the mind of one of our co-riders which we chose "Protect Nature" and in solidarity towards the World Environment Day coming up on June 5th. Proud that we weren't just riding but at least had this small but valuable theme in mind. We observed the diverse climatic conditions through our journey cold to extreme heat waves and it was the ride along the forest ranges gave us the value of trees in our environment. Cool breeze on to the face; it was heaven. No mobile coverage added to the trips success with only focus of ours on riding and sight seeing. Nature is perfect in the way it is and as always it relaxes your mind from your worldly pressures. Everybody loved their ride and on a funny note I could tell the 500cc's RE outwitted the old standard 350's including mine. But we argued on the riding comfort and the feel of a pure RE but hardly know who won. On our way back we planted a small tree with the forest officers of Chinnar which was handed over to us by our Chief Guest who flagged off our journey.
I had noticed the quote on our official facebook page "Monsoon Beat" before the ride and as a closing note nature did show it's love. One could indeed boast by saying that we brought the rains on our return. Literally everybody drenched in the heavy down pour as we headed down the routes to home sweet home."

The best pic which could be shared from the trip would be this one.................

It was almost time that I had to wind this vacation and get back to work. The power of money now being slowly shifted back to Abudhabi. That was all and the wallet was turning empty each day. But off-course did some of the best things which could have never been possible for me. Re-payed by education loan, shared small but worth gifts to my family, friends & relatives and some works to make my Home Sweet Home even a better place.
Sitting back home in one of those days, I invited Rahul to come visit my home. It was a weekend for him and he just said I am coming. By the way, I should mention that I had met him a couple of times at Cochin during my visit to my relatives and my travel to GOA. But surprisingly, this happened just like that which makes it worth while to be a sweet memory of my vacation.  I believe, sharing a pic of us together on a day at my home town is worth at the closing of the blog. Nothing better could have happened even though realizing what had been planned initially never actually happened.

At the realm of senses in Abudhabi at present time, I sit back yawning after a New Years Eve of 2017 to at-least complete to do this task of mine pending since a very long time. Longing for another vacation and a ride on my RE when I asked my sister to post me a video of my bike kept alive by my father these days. I long for that Royal Rumble in my ears...............

Back in Action

Couldn't keep the word of not talking to Rahul. But I believe things are getting aligned the way I thought.I have sent photographs to my mechanic a couple of weeks ago to build up my machine. And the first installment send by Rahul. Just perfect.

I know I loosing me out too much these day. I should stop and save. I keep changing my vacation plans all because I am running out of money. Swiping around credit cards and at last getting into the frustration of paying the bills back. February salary could finish all the crazy mess I have made till date.

I really ought to find a better money management solution or I will be on empty wallet. Anyways first step has been taken and now there is no turning back. I am back in action all dreaming on the happy days of my vacation.

All in the spirit of Trip-ing together!!!

Pity Excuse

I could easily type in my mile long excuse for not keeping my word. Oct-18 too have passed away from me. Keeping my word have become so difficult and the funniest part I keep changing my plans. Today...Tomorrow...the last minute. I keep my task pending until I reach a stage were I cannot even think of doing it. This is the time when I seek reasons to justify my behaviour. A pity excuse of not doing things that you had to do.

Time waits for none. It just flies past you leaving a trail of memories and I am now left with guilt, anger upon my own laziness. What else could you think of right now other than the Pink Floyd track.........."Time".

Ticking away the moments
That make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours
In an off-hand way

Kicking around on a piece of ground
In your home town
Waiting for someone or something
To show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today

And then the one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

And you run and you run
To catch up with the sun
But it's sinking

Racing around
To come up behind you again

The sun is the same
In a relative way
But you're older

Shorter of breath
And one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time

Plans that either come to naught
Or half a page of scribbled lines

Hanging on in quiet desperation
Is the English way

The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say

Home
Home again
I like to be here
When I can

When I come home
Cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones
Beside the fire

Far away
Across the field
Tolling on the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spell...

"Neram"-I am missing it every single minute

"Neram" which means in Malayalam TIME. I have started missing things like never before. The clock ticks by me; but I never bother. I find ways to kill time say it at office or at home. Laziness with an extra bit of dreaming on the annual leave; I am never up to date with anything. Why I am speaking on my mile long laziness on a Sunday morning. The reason is I have made my promise of posting the trip plan on Aug-18 and I swore that I wont be  calling my co-rider the one and only "Rahul Nair" until and unless I complete my blog. The vice versa could have happened yesterday.

I knew my never ending laziness is getting hold on everything I do. But I really wanted to speak to him. I called him yesterday to tell stories which would not make him point and portray me as a lazy shit breaking promises. I am lucky enough he didn't pick my call. May be its the great guiding spirits in and among us brought back the good fortune. Still the promises are valid. If promises couldn't be kept before the trip; how would we travel together for miles long. Such things should never happen.

Rahul: You too haven't kept your promise. Remember Aug-18. Time has flown from us and we stay in the month end of September. I really want you to complete your post by coming Oct-18. Make plans, route map and don't ever have questions on my arrival. Everything will be perfectly happening. Believe. Complete your task so that we could start up again with our never ending conversation.

To myself: Oct-18 my dear. FULL STOP to your LAZINESS!!!

Mile Long Laziness

I wanted to write this post feeling a few weeks back where the promise of Aug-18 was shattered. We were supposed to create a route map for our whole trip and then post it in here. Neither did I nor he. Being talkative doesn't do the job I realize. When you stick on to targets for what was in our case the day of Aug-18; we couldn't achieve. If this is the case for a short trip; how do can we plan to achieve the bigger one. Really bad I know.

I have decided not to speak and do bla bla bla on this with Rahul Nair until and unless I complete my task.

Change of Plan

As expected and anticipated; what is life without a detour. It doesn't mean you sacrifice your dreams all of a sudden. It gives a chance to plan things properly; that's what I believe. Now the timeline available to us is a mere 14-days. That's the only leave my buddy Rahul has got for the year 2013. I felt actually sad when he said that. But things are getting much more serious than expected. We have dropped the plan of riding along on a motorcycle to the destination we choose. We will be on foot. Awesome. But our love of the motorcycle will be cut down to a weekend which we will plan to go to a hill station probably Munnar or Vagamon. Only to be decided on my arrival. Remember the "big ride" will be pending still.

Coming back to the 14day story. We have both agreed to choose a destination of our on choice. To be specific. Any state in India and plan a route to visit the maximum places in this time frame. OOphhhh. I am nervous now. I can feel the cold wind from the Himalayas freezing me from outside....Kashmir was the immediate choice from Rahul. Now I have to find mine. The D-Day available to post the route map, expenditures and proper time-lining is Aug-18 Sunday. He may have started working out but I am still puzzled with a destination that could beat the breath taking beauty of Kasmir. Tough task...But I am not gonna give up. Fingers crossed...Thrilled...Excited!!!
